An Embodied Clay & Emotional Reset Experience
Looking for a pottery workshop in Singapore that is more than just making a cup?
Punch & Release is a guided pottery handbuilding and glazing experience designed for overstimulated, overthinking humans who have been holding too much — or simply want to punch some clay and get a little Clayotic.
This is not about chasing perfection.
This is about using clay as an outlet.
Facilitated by Winnie Wong — Singapore’s first Modern Kintsugi artist, certified Life & ADHD Coach, and Death Doula-in-training, this clay workshop in Singapore blends beginner-friendly pottery handbuilding with nervous system awareness and emotional regulation.
Clay is the medium.
Release is the work.
What to Expect
This 3-hour pottery handbuilding and glazing experience includes:
• 2 hours of guided handbuilding using 500g of clay
– Techniques covered: slab building, coiling, and pinching
– Refer to images for an idea of what can be created within the clay allocation
• 1 hour of expressive underglaze painting
• Collection approximately 4–6 weeks later, depending on firing schedule
This beginner pottery class in Singapore is suitable for first-timers.
No prior experience required.
What Makes This Different
At Punch & Release, you will still learn proper pottery handbuilding and glazing techniques.
We cover the foundations — structure, form, underglaze application, and finishing.
What makes this different is the added layer.
| Traditional Pottery Workshop | Punch & Release at Stay Gold Studio |

You receive both.

Stay Gold Studio is a creative healing studio in Singapore that uses embodied art for regulation — without compromising on technique.
You do not have to choose between craft and meaning.
Glaze Options
Underglaze + Clear Finish (Included)
Vibrant, expressive, and playful
Paint your piece during the session using underglaze while the clay is still raw.
This option allows for colourful marks, illustrations, patterns, and intuitive designs. It is perfect if you enjoy bold expression and a more lively finish.
We complete it with a food-safe clear gloss glaze and fire it after the workshop.
Included in your workshop fee.
Mid-Fire Coloured Glaze Upgrade (+~$45)
Classic, refined, and timeless
Upgrade to studio mid-fire glazes for a more classic ceramic finish.
This option offers a more traditional, understated look with natural depth and variation.
As it requires additional processing and kiln stages after the session, a ~$45 upgrade applies.
Session Scope & Add-Ons
Additional clay — $5 per 250g
Larger sculptural works may incur additional firing or handling fees.
Pieces must be completed within the allocated 3-hour session.
If additional time is required on the day, an extra hour may be booked at $30/hour (subject to availability).
If continuation is required on another date, it will be treated as a new session booking.
If It Cracks
At times, breakage is part of working with clay.
Winnie specialises in Modern Kintsugi — the art of repairing broken ceramics with gold.
While every piece is handled and fired with care, ceramics are inherently unpredictable. Cracks or breakage may occur depending on construction, thickness, drying conditions, and firing variables.
We take every precaution to minimise risk, but final outcomes cannot be guaranteed.
If a piece requires repair, a preferential Kintsugi rate will be extended to pottery workshop participants.
Because sometimes the lesson is not in perfection.
It is in mending what fractured.
